The truth about Murdoch’s newspaper’s heartless treatment of crime victims, the 7/7
Now it’s time to make sure we win a people-powered victory over Murdoch. If we can get over 100,000 names on our petition by the time we hand it in to the government tomorrow, they’ll know they need to act to rein Murdoch in.
Please forward this message to your friends and family and ask them to sign the petition, calling for a proper public inquiry into phone-hacking and for the BSkyB deal to be stopped now:
The final government inquiry into the BSkyB deal ends tomorrow at noon. We’ll be delivering our petition – together with our giant Murdoch puppets and our friends at Avaaz – to Jeremy Hunt and David Cameron a few minutes before the deadline passes.
The government says we should believe Murdoch’s promises that he’ll respect media independence. Why should we trust promises from a media baron whose papers are under police investigation? Let’s prove to the government that the public won’t fall for more phony Murdoch promises.
Please help make sure our petition is as large as possible before the deadline tomorrow: https://secure.38degrees.org.uk/murdoch-deal-petition
Time and time again, as we work together to campaign for a fairer, greener,
This could be our chance to finally level the playing field and get politicians answering to voters not media barons – let’s work together to seize it!
Please press forward on this message and ask your friends and family to add their names to the petition now: https://secure.38degrees.org.uk/murdoch-deal-petition
